Let me guess you´re skeptical, how can any one get a website priced in the thousands for only a few dollars? That´s the beauty of this site silly; every one gets what they want. When a webmaster comes to us with a website, we ask them for a price they would accept for the site. That price is converted into tickets and when all the tickets sell out - our computer randomly picks the winner.
You still have a lot of questions, so we did our best to answer them all below!
What is SiteSweeps and who's behind it?
SiteSweeps.com is an online lottery and community that´s main goal is to sell large websites for cheap. It started out as a market-testing type of place for a large website broker and since then the idea has grown.
I only see one site, do you sell any thing else?
No. We only sell one item at any given time. When the drawing of a winner is over, we will replace it with another site.
What is the schedule for new sites?
There really isn't any, depending on the size of the site up for lotto; we will show a given date for the drawing. As SiteSweeps.com´s popularity grows well list more site more frequently.
I missed the deadline for tickets; can I please still get one?
Sure, when pigs fly. A deadline is a deadline, you can try to bribe us all you want but we won´t budge. We tend to love our users, and we wouldn´t double cross them by selling you a ticket after deadline, that would be unfair for them.
I want to talk to a live person there, can I call you?
No. We are busy programming, or working to find new sites. You can e-mail us using the contact form, or if it´s a lotto site related question PM the seller directly or leave a message in the comment section. Plus because of US laws our location is located out of the states, so it would be costly for you to call us anyways (buy a ticket instead!).
Will I receive support from the previous owner?
In most cases yes, unless explicitly stated in the auction the previous owner will help you out a bit. But don´t think they are your slaves...
What if I receive a website, that doesn't receive the same traffic/revenue/etc?
Well then you´re unlucky, just kidding. We will take this on a case to case basis, keep in mind that not all stats stay the same as some times it could be because of you, neglecting to maintain the site or another reason. But buy tickets knowing that, we screen all of our sellers and their sites intensively before we list a site for lotto - just to keep all of us safe.
Will sites listed on SiteSweeps be on sale any where else?
NO. All of our sites are for sale exclusive to us, if you do find a sale it might be a previous auction else where. But when a site is listed here, you won´t find it any where else - unlike those as seen on TV things (bad experience don't ask).
What payment processor do you guys use?
We use PayPal because they're 100% secure, you can use your Credit Card, or that change that's been in your PayPal Account for decades.
Ok, this seems cool. But look I'm just not lucky! What can you do for me?
Not much really, but supposedly you have better chances of winning a website then being stung by a bee, or getting attacked by a shark, or being killed on a 5-mile bus trip, or... actually you get the point. No matter your luck, your chances are better then any thing else out there. Plus if you haven't been stung by a bee yet, we feel for you.
